When dosbox is rendered on the iGPU, even the resolution is not a multiple of 640 (9-point char is off),
the fonts are rendered nicely. And now because I am tired of the iGPU and want to use the discrete gpu alone.
I find that the fonts look jagged once again. I tried normal2x and it still looks the same.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
Jack

Could you post your DOSBox config file with the graphics relevant settings please?

Have you tried opengl and openglnb?

Fullscreen? aspect=true?

It is perfect in full screen mode, but in desktop mode, it is just as ugly as what it is in the picture.
Because I have a 1280x1024 monitor, but I have task bar and side bar , so when maximized, it
creates the scaling problem.
I have tried to keep an aspect ratio of 4:3 by specifying a desktop resolution of 1024x768 to no avail.
Thanks

No, I tried out all combinations of scalers, the best results I could get was hq2x forced.
But in desktop maximized mode, it looks ugly as usual. Maybe resorting back to iGPU.
I really dislike the iGPU because
1) Low performance
2) Have to use the poor performing Virtu MVP
3) Virtu MVP has bugs to cause BSOD
4) You have to pay for Virtu MVP
so on
Thanks
