Out of curiosity, what was the least demanding FMV/prerendered game? I was surprised that Mad Dog McCree for DOS only required a 286!

I was playing Rebel Assault on a 386 SX-33, that is pretty low I think.

7th Guest supports a MCGA mode through. Is it a 386 program or will a 286 run it? Some 286s by Harris went up to 25 Mhz and are faster than 386SX per clock.

Also, what sort of weird video compression does Mad Dog McCree use? It seems to look like 256x240ish in scenes with little motion and more like 128x120 when anything moves quickly. Like if you were constantly switching between low and high detail mode in Doom.

7th Guest doesn't seem to be using protected mode extenders, thus it's worth a try running it on a 286.
