The authorities are spinning their wheels on this one. As long as one person anywhere in the world has the files needed to put it back up, it will never go away. As anyone who's been here for any length time knows, I'm am strongly against IP theft, but one has to concede when those in charge of enforcement are chasing their own tails.

Crime never goes away. Nonetheless the fight continues to keep it at a tolerable level. Without law enforcement society would collapse into chaos. 😠

I see the fight against piracy the same way as Prohibition or, better yet, the War on Drugs. I'll never be fully contained or eradicated, just slowed down a tad. Yes Prohibition was eventually repealed, but only because by 1933 many of its supporters could see it wasn't deterring alcohol consumption and instead exacerbated a more serious problem that's still with us today, organized crime.

I agree. However, I also believe the downward slide has already begun. I just hope society doesn't hit rock bottom too hard 😐

Ooohh, the pain......

Agreed.

I could see this thread going down the drain again.

But anyway I expected as much with all the mirrors that would pop up.

TBP going down really wasn't a big loss to me though. Because I really don't pirate things other than sometimes from the abandonware sites.

Given how piracy threads tend to end up lately.
