Im trying to run "Are you afraid of the dark: The tale of Orpheo's curse" and when I tryed running it with VDMsound this is the error that poped up
error.JPG
When I tryed to click yes it just popped up again and kept doing it, before I had VDMsound the game was giving me the error "Failed to load drivers for your card" and I didnt know if it meant sound or video so I got VDMsound since somthing similar happened on my old comp, Im running Windows xp with a Radeon 9200 and an intergrated sound card, I have all the latest drivers for my video card too. What would be causing this error?

Edit: And maybe its not because of VDMsound? I dont know if I should try to run this on a DOSbox emulator or what? Oh yeah and I also forgot to mention Im running the latest version of VDMSound

how do i do that?

Edit: Wait do i just comment this stuff out in the vdms.ini?

;--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
; This module is used to play back the AdLib data on a Windows DirectSound device
;--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

[AdLib Wave Player]
CLSID = DSoundDevice.WaveOut ; you can also use 'WaveDevice.WaveOut'
Path = DSoundDevice.dll ; you can also use 'WaveDevice.dll'

[AdLib Wave Player.config]
device = -1 ; -1 = the Wave/DirectSound mapper, 0 = first device, 1 = second, etc.
buffer = 75 ; how many milliseconds of audio data to buffer

Yes, correct - unless you use LaunchPad that is, in which case VDMS.INI is ignored and custom ones are generated as needed.

Guest, if you make a right-click on the short-cut, select Properties, and press the Advanced... button, you can disable AdLib without manual editing of an obscure configuration file.
