i DONT want to use another tracker, i've been borned & raised with FT2.... (first on the amiga time too).... I make musik for it's fun and for myself developing. If it where't for FT2 i would never make musik, I dont say the quality is all the best, but that depends on the samples right?, well take a listen to a few of my songs on http://www.mp3.com/iph , mostly techno.... FT2 is good when doing techno with pattern style....

The funny think is I cant even make a win98 boot disk to start ft2 with mousedriver & awe64 'set' drivers, then there is NO sound, and yes I got a isa card, tested all possible bios settings so it will match FT2s settings.

any ideas guy's ?!!

Why are u guys discussing these issues? I mean honestly the only thing I hoped for when I searched for this tread was tweaks for running FT2
>within< DB...
Well anyhow.... It seems odd the that having installed Pinball Dreams and Fantasies where the table songs are based on mods , within the game these mods play flawlessly.... as mods. but when loading ft2 and trying to play the same mods the sound gets choppy. I think I´ve seen a statment somewhere on the forum saying that DB doesn´t support 16-Bit samples yet... So within fasttracker I turned off 16-Bit mixing , reduced most sound options .... but still the sound is choppy...
So started to wonder if maybe i need to emulate cycles for to work , but having tracked on a real machine i know that not until one uses more voices the CPU usage whould go up. I think should at least be able to handle a mod with four channels... a xm on 16 up 32 is understandable ... As stated before PB-Dreams game engine handles the mods within DB with ANY chopping at all...
All suggestions all more than welcome
cheers
