Hi, I'm a 29 y.o games from the 90's and bless all you dosbox dev's. 😀
I use the latest Taewoong build along with my LG Flatron F700B CRT in "original" fullscreen resolution mode, "none" scaler, and Aspect correction into Direct3D output.
This seems to give me perfect CRT behavior in fullscreen which has two main modes: 640x400 @ 70Hz and 640x480 @ 60Hz as confirmed by the CRT menu during games.
The question is whether in the old day there were proper v-sync in dos games?
In windows 7 when Aero is enable it appears that there is always v-sync enabled and locked to desktop refreshrate even though the CRT is in 640x400@70Hz mode and v-sync on dosbox is off.
When Aero is disabled I see tearing in dos games when V-sync in dosbox is off, its a more expected behavior than with Aero enabled.
So, anyone found the perfect settings with Taewoong Dosbox and a CRT for a 100% correct behavior?
Can anyone actually remember tearing in the old days?
Thanks.
