I just have thought about this based on 3D Acceleration issues, and am 100% sure of it.

Windows Vista and 7 have Aero, that can be an identifier of a gaming video card. However, if you cannot enable Aero or cannot use Aero effects, that does not mean your videocard is not suitable for gaming. Windows XP does not have Aero, so it could be hard to identify a gaming video card.

Luckily, you can test it by actually playing any PopCap game with a 3D Acceleration feature. Go to the game settings (usually Options in main menu, usually Menu in-game). Find Hardware Acceleration, HW Acceleration or 3D Acceleration.

If 3D Acceleration is enabled by default, your videocard is probably very good for gaming.
If 3D Acceleration is disabled by default, one of these four scenarios may be occuring.
A. If you can enable 3D Acceleration, but the game warns you of slow performance, your videocard has incomplete support for acceleration.

Your video card may not fully support this feature.
If you experience slower performance please disable Hardware Acceleration.

B. If 3D acceleration cannot be enabled on PopCap 3D games (Bejeweled Twist, Zuma's Revenge!, Bejeweled 3) but can be enabled in other PopCap games, your videocard does not support accelerated Direct3D.
C. If 3D acceleration can be enabled on PopCap 3D games but cannot be enabled on other PopCap games, your videocard is geared too much to 3D gaming, and supports acceleration for Direct3D but not for DirectDraw.
D. If 3D acceleration cannot be enabled on any PopCap game, your videocard is probably bad.

Hardware Acceleration cannot be enabled on this computer.
Your video card does not meet the minimum requirements for this game.

If scenario B, C or D occurs, consider replacing your video card with an AMD, an ATI or a NVIDIA. Note that if you use NVIDIA with Windows 7 or 8, and your monitor has an aspect ratio other than 4:3, consider disabling the game's fullscreen feature.

If you already upgraded your videocard but still are unable to enable 3D Acceleration, contact PopCap Customer Support. http://support.popcap.com
