Been a lot since I've built something that works so I thought I'd post it here:

MB - ASUS A7N8X-E Deluxe 😎 - put an ECS heatsink on the SB 🤣
CPU - AMD Duron 1300MHz - got a Athlon XP 1900+ but saving it for the Retro Rig v1.4 (nF2 based like this one)
Memory - 1.50GB DDR400 RAM - double sided chips! 😈
GPU - Radeon HD3450 512MB - need it for GTA San Andreas (I'm sure it runs) - sits in a AGP Pro slot 😁
HDD - WDC WD800JD-55MSA1 80GB SATA - using it through Silicon Image controller onboard
LAN - Dual LAN onboard! (Realtek and nVidia)
TV Tuner - Winfast TV2000XP Deluxe
OS - thinking of Windows Vista SP2,just because fancy motherboard needs fancy OS 🤣
HSF - Titan TTC-D9TB/CU35/R1,replaced the fan with a 80mm Delta fan (and it's a quiet Delta)
DVD-ROM - Lite-On LTD-166S
PSU - Rexpower PX-400 400W PSU (recapped)

Why would you run Vista on Duron 1300? Why would you run Duron 1300 anyway? It's way older then everything else in your system.

I tried it on a 500 mhz P3 BX rig back in 2007, it worked ok aside from the fact I was using a Riva TNT for a graphics card. OP should using 98 or XP instead.

On a far away planet reading your posts in the year 10,191.

One reason I've been turning for Vista SP2 is because it has updates and supports. And BTW,I've seen some Duron/Athlon XP systems run Windows Vista. (iirc around 2007/8 or so)

The Duron 1300 is the only CPU I've got it to post with. I have a Sempron 2400+ and a Athlon XP 3200+ but neither POST. The Sempron 2400+ wouldn't POST (yet it would POST on a ECS K7S6A)by giving a black screen, and the Athlon XP 3200+ turns on for about 1.5 - 2 seconds and shuts off. The Sempron 2400+ seems fine, however the AXP 3200+ seems to have some very light brown on the underside center. I also have a 2200+ though, but I didn't test it yet.

Oh,and does anybody know how can I make the motherboard talk? It has a speech option in the BIOS,yet it doesn't do anything when enabled.

I would not care about the updates if I were you. My Athlon 3200+ runs XP SP2 and I even surf the net with it from time to time. It's not like you have any crucial data there, why bother?

No crucial data in there right now,but I will save some in the future. Plus it's my backup machine. Right now I need the SIL3112 drivers to reinstall Windows.

Just finished building it back. Replaced the Rexpower PSU with a SumVision KY-450ATX that I've recapped today.

Also,here's another one:

MSI K7N2 Delta-L
1GB RAM
Athlon XP 1900+ 1.2GHz
Rexpower PX-400 PSU (better than the gutless wonder it came with)
Lite-on DVD-ROM
20GB HDD
no OS
FX5500 256MB - passive heatsink
C-Media 8738 PCI audio
D-Bracket
RTL8139 NIC / nVidia nForce NIC onboard)

This one doesn't POST though, need to check what's wrong with it.

Just fixed it. The problem was the FX5500 being dead (it worked until that point),so I replaced it with a MSI Geforce FX5200 w/TV out and now it works.
Though,it seems it doesn't like 166MHz FSB jumper setting.
