The first time i insterted memory into my CT3900 the two crappy plastic clips on the bottom of one of the holders snapped off.
Memory still worked than m but not it doesnt seem to work any more. I tried swapping memory modules, and jumper, but nothing.

From my visual and sensual inspection, the ram in that slot sits as nice as the other slot thats not broken.

If the simm's were lose (which they were since the cheap, plastic locking tabs had broke off), they could have shorted or more than likely shorted out the part of the card that detects/uses the add on ram. About the only practical thing to do is desolder the old simm slots and solder in a new pair, then test with known working simm's. Good luck and let us know what happens.
