* Motherboard: MSI
* Processor type and speed: Athlon XP
* Amount and type of RAM: 256 MB DDR
* Video board w/ RAM amount and type: Some crappy integrated video
* Sound board: AC97 integrated
* Operating system: Win2k (latest service pack)

Immediately after installing VDMSound 2.10 with all optional components, I rebooted. Now, the computer restarts about two seconds after displaying the blank blue GUI screen (right after the "Starting Windows 2000" screen). It does this over and over. Safe Mode, Last Known Good, etc. produce exactly the same problem. No other hardware or software changes had been made since the previous reboot. I have access to the (non-service-pack) win2k setup disk and therefore the recovery console, but I'm not sure how to proceed. Any idea what's going on?

Aight, problem fixed (as far as I can tell). Booted from the 2K install disk, went through the recovery process, and recopied only ATL.DLL and MSVCRT.DLL. Man, did that royally suck..... now, to find SP4 versions of these files.
