Sounds great but how did you uniquely identify it as SL4KL? SL4BR is also a 1000/100 slot 1. There is also the SL5QV which is s370 1000/100.

It very well could be a SL4BR. What's the difference between KL and BR? I imagine one was a retail box and the other OEM. The caution on the box calls for slot-1 mobos... So it's a 1ghz 100 fsb slot 1 Coppermine.

I bought the second to last one a couple hours ago. It will be going in a ASUS P2B.

Yeah the retail versions had the classic blue box. This is clearly OEM. I am assuming there would be no reason to warn against a S370 cooler fitting. It could be one of those giant passive heatsinks found on slot 1.

Also if you're on a 133mhz slot 1 board, you could grab a powerleap and a 1400S and be happy there too.

Update:

Can’t get this system to post! Here is what happens. I get 1 beep followed by 2 beeps (Bad or no display) then, constant rapid beeps (overheated cpu)

Here is what I have tried so far.

Two differnt PSU
Two different GPUs that work (Starting with no GPU results in same issues)
With 1 stick of 256mb that has made a trip in each slot which changes nothing. I tried removing the RAM (All I get is long beeps, which is to be expected)

I have tried to reseat CPU, replaced CMOS battery with new one, manually dropping the FSB to 66 to try and get it to POST. Nothing! I removed the CPU and turned it on and got nothing, which is to be expected. This only components attached are CPU, RAM and GPU and a keyboard and VGA connector.

This could be a bad CPU or Mobo.

I think that's about average price. How many ISA? I think for 2 ISA it's actually quite good.

NIB 1GHz CPU'S!!!!! I'd definitely be getting a nice matching pair if any of my duel boards could handle anything above katmai's.
If your not overclocking the Gateway Tabor motherboards are actually Intel SE440BX-3 boards with standard ATX pinout (Unlike Dell's SE440BX-3 boards)
Obviously being both OEM and Intel there isn't much you can configure but are rock solid

These 1 GHz processors being OEM, are there any downsides? They come with a stock cooler I assume?

My P2B-D I got from a university recycling bin along with some other motherboards (like a A7N8X deluxe which I love). They were all "open box" status. So I have the box and all of the contents. The P2B-D even has a ASUS C-P2T adapter which let's you run the dual board with one processor. I have no idea what an open box P2B-D 1.06 D03 with C-P2T, manual etc is worth. Probably at least the value of a 2 ISA P3B-F, but maybe more for the value of two cpu slots. That said I probably won't be running the setup anytime soon being happy with my k6-III+.

Does rev 1.04 have the different clock chip like the P3V4X rev 1.03? I believe AUSU changed them and it wasnt popular. From what I've read. Do I really need or want two ISA?

I rub my nipples every time someone builds a dual cpu rig. That said, you must run windows 2000 or xp, if you go dual cpu.
