My guess too. The handwritten label reads "Versand", which means it was used in a shipping department at some point. I guess there were several of these at that company.

Knapp designs and sells automation systems for warehouses, the conveyor belts that get packages to the right place in a warehouse. This is probably (part of) one of those systems.
