Dosbox minimizes every 5-10 minutes

I just started using dosbox to play Red Alert last week, but I'm running into an issue where it goes from full screen to minimized. The game keeps running and I can alt enter it back to fullscreen, but it's annoying mid game to do this.

I found in my Windows 7 x64 event viewer something that is likely related. Every 5-10 minutes these messages are in event viewer:
A request to disable the Desktop Window Manager was made by process (DOSBox DOS Emulator)
The Desktop Window Manager was unable to start because composition was disabled by a running application

I have to believe it's related since it coincides closely with my minimizing issue.

Any Ideas on how to fix the minimizing issue?

I have that problem too.
I've read about it and it looks like that it could be a 3rd party service.
You can find it by disabeling the 3rd party services one by one in msconfig and reboot after each disabled service and test it.
Because i have like 30 of them i went the "meh, tabbing back in is faster" way.
Also i just read that it could be a mouse setting in the "Ease of Access"(I don't know if this is the right translation for it but i mean the menu where you can enable on screen keyboard and text to speech and stuff) Menu, there you can look if the option "activate window on mouseover" or similar is ticked and disable it.
