Back in the early 2000's, like 2003 or something, I used some generic "Driver Remover" utility but I can't tell you that it removed EVERYTHING.

I use a program called Driver Cleaner 2.7. It does a good job cleaning Nvidia drivers for me. Also works with 3dfx, ATI, and some others. You need to be careful with it because once you hit the "clean" button, it doesn't tell you what it will delete. For example, if you have a file folder called "Nvidia," it will nuke it. Best to make an image or backup first, if you can.

That's the one! If I remember correctly, it concerns itself more with file removal than with registry cleanup, although it DOES do some registry cleanup.

In at least one of the versions over its history, it's basically script-driven and you could read or customize the scripts, or else you could tell it to log what it did, something like that.

Back in this era, it was the only one that seemed to work a damn, and was regularly updated from 2003 on up to 2009 at least.

Personally though, if you have the time, I prefer to use the driver installer's uninstall process and then finish cleanup by hand if necessary.

Seems like they go too deep. I really don't want to remove any installers for drivers that I have in each computer. (c:\install)
The reason is, that I like to fiddle around with different setups on each computer. Well... More of a convenience issue I guess.

The reason for uninstalling all 3DfX relarted driversoftware, is that I wish to get rid of the latest reference driver for V2.
In order to install the Fastvoodoo2 4.6 driver, to see if any of the last issues will be removed (hundreds of small vertical interferance lines)
It did the trick on my VC820 machine, wich had these type of issues with my G400, when being run in other machines.
Performancewise it gave me a kick too, when using that driver. So I really want to get rid of everything as the readme states, wich
comes with the FastVoodoo2 driverpack.

Does someone have some sort of guide, to what I should look for and remove, after I have done a system uninstall of the official V2 driver?
