i found this demo
i was unable to get it to work with a 440BX ABIT be6 motherboard, running WFW3.11 with a PIII 700Mhz processor
im wondering if any of you gurus might be able to get it to run and tell me what its incompatible with as its
the first + most oldest version of logic that i can find for the pc platform dating back to 1993.

i was wondering if it may have something to do with Standard VS Enhanced modes in Win3.x
or if its somehow incompatible with WFW3.11 and requires an earlier version of windows, such as windows 3.1 or windows 3.0 or maybe even windows 2.x or something?
also perhaps i just had too much ram installed at the time? and that may have caused it to not work?

anyway its a mystery.. maybe someone can help me solve
basically im looking for someone with a 1992/1993 system such as a 386 or 486 to see if they can get it to run
because i dont have such a system myself at the moment (im trying to build one!)

I have a 486 DX-2, but no Windows currently installed and this is going to be a very busy week for me, so once that is over I might be able to take a look...

There is an undocumented way to start Windows for Workgroups 3.11 in standard mode, if you care to try. Neither networking nor running DOS apps work, though,

Works fine on my 486 DX4/100 with WfW3.11. The setup program is aware of virtual memory so the program is designed for running under 386 Enhanced mode. The inclusion of a .386 driver is a dead giveaway. Doesn't appear to be a true DAW though, just MIDI. Basically competition to Cakewalk.

thanks very much NJRoadFan for confirming that it does indeed work on a 486 DX computer..
like i said for whatever reason it didnt work on my Abit BE6 with WFW3.11
maybe because i was using a PIII 700Mhz processor
i actually bought a 233Mhz PII slot 1 cpu but i never got the chance to try to install this again
i figured there was some issue with this..
i wonder what the reason was...
and yes it is 100% midi only... no audio recording.. its from 1993!!!!
before audio was accomplished.. i think that logic audio came in 1994.. via Digidesign hardware
and the DAE engine

is the "Save file" dialog disabled?
