Pardon me if this has been discussed before and for this (most likely) ignorant question, but where are these ebay russian sellers getting all these new 3dfx voodoo2 cards?
I'm not criticizing, on the contrary! This is great and i'm about to buy one, but i wonder... are they fabricating them of something making this not really "new-old" stock but rather new stock?

Interesting. I'm aware of forgotten containers from all sort of stuff, but one full with 3dfx voodoo 2 is great. I'm going to buy one before it's too late since both the used 3dfx voodoo 2 cards i have are dead or half dead.

Most hardware, that were outdated around 1999 to 2002, were shipped to russia or other eastern countries back then.
Even in 1996, they shipped wast amount of amiga hardware to those countries.

Don't eat stuff off a 15 year old never cleaned cpu cooler.
Those cakes make you sick....

I remember someone telling me that, at least one, eBay seller buys them locally from a second hand computer shop, then puts them on eBay. I got all my V2 cards from these sellers, it all worked out fine 😀

Some are a bit dodgy, asking you to bypass eBay and pay them directly. I refused of course, so don't fall for that one.

Were you satisfied with their shipping method? Did they use proper antistatic bag etc?
I hate when people send me computer hardware all wrapped in bubble wrap!

Packing was average, but luckily it did survive the trip. My worst packing experience was a 386 board from Romania. It was put into a bubble envelope, NO other protection whatsoever. But it also survived.

Here's the website of that shop, and no, you can't buy from abroad: http://www.pc-1.ru/i_shop/video/pci

I bought quite a lot of stuff from them: Voodoo 2, Diamond Monster M80, AWE32 CT2760, a Millenium etc. They still have 239 Voodoo 2s in stock for 6 Euros each. When Voodoos were new, a lot of small firms in Russia appeared and disappeared very quickly. These supplies were most probably bought for next to nothing when small computer shops went bankrupt.

It looks indeed like new!

But no antistatic bag (the antistatic bag the card is standing on is mine).
20151001_222004_zpszidlgaib.jpg
And even worse, lots and lots of random plastic stuff around the card, all of which create a bunch of static electricity when unpackaging. To be honest i didn't even complained to him this time, i'm giving up about warning sellers about antistatic bags when packaging, some even take it the wrong way so what gives.

The card works perfectly so far and i get about 650\680 3D Marks 2001 on my Pentium III 800Mhz!

Bought another Voodoo2 in this shop to make the SLI setup.
Well, I live in the same city so no postal was needed.
The card was inoperative: it was detected as the device but the driver failed ("glide environment expected Voodoo^2, none detected"). Was replaced in the next day to the good one w/o any troubles.

Asus P4P800 SE/Pentium4 3.2E/2 Gb DDR400B,
Radeon HD3850 Agp (Sapphire), Catalyst 14.4 (XpProSp3).
Voodoo2 12 MB SLI, Win2k drivers 1.02.00 (XpProSp3).
