Yes, true... This goes for MS-Dos command line as well.
That is why people use Directory Opus on the Amiga and Norton Commander in MS-Dos.

As it turns out. They are most fond of a combination of the hardware, workbench, and the games/demos's/programs-combination. It's the complete package of everything that they are into Amiga for.
They say that everything makes up the most fun package of computer ever released.

You need to source an A600 model HD or an A1200 now.
For kickrom incompatibility, get a Kick-rom-boot disk to make it think it is running 1.3
Whenever it is turned on, you can hold right mouse button or both to get into "bios".
There you can set it to Eighter ocs, ecs or aga.

Keep to kickrom 3.0 and not 3.1 if you want the ultimate retro in the old girlfriend.

Mind you, WinUAE is so good that you can run 99% of all Amiga software in the emulator, and you get a completely accurate experience.
And you can easily change the configuration so that you can emulate any kind of Amiga... Different chipsets, different amounts and types of memory, different types of CPUs etc.
(Emulators for platforms such as C64 and Amiga are very different from eg DOSBox).
