Hi guys.

Yesterday I got my hands on an IBM T23 laptop. Battery is dead, CMOS battery was dead as well and the connector was missing (torn off the MB) and the HDD was dead. I fixed the CMOS battery connector and wired a CR2032 to it using wires, shrink tube and a small two pin fan header off a dead video card. I replaced the dead drive with a 30GB Hitachi I had laying around and installed windows 98. The Savage 9 has respectable 3D performance (~30 fps in quake 2 timedemo demo2.dm2 at 1024x768) so I want to use it as a space saving / portable retro gaming machine.

Here's the issue - display scaling is HORRIBLE. At 800x600 pixels are unevenly stretched and the picture looks overly blocky and unsymmetrical. Is there a way to fix this? A dirver, a bios update - anything? I can play 3D games at 1024x768 and they look great - but if I want to play 2D stuff like Red Alert or Dune 2K.... well... they look like crap...

Any help would be apreciated.
