Hello,

I have a collection of different Geforces series 3 and 4 - all Titanium. I don't use them regularly and have them in a storage. Today I tried one and no video output - no signal upon power up. System seems to boot as usual POST beep is there and also BOOT beep. Tried with three different motherboards (Socket A, P-IV and Socket 754) and three different (all noname) PSUs.

5 different Geforces (GF3 Ti200, 2x GF4 Ti4200, 1x GF4 Ti4600) does the same thing.
Also tried Kyro 2 4500 - the same.

While ATI 9600 Pro, GF 2MX, 4MX are working fine.

I recently bought one GF4 Ti4200 128MB on eBay as used and working but it also doesn't work.

Don't have a clue what's going on!? 😲

Have you tried all video outputs?

Yes.

I'd somehow understood that one or two go bad, but 7 cards? Don't even want to try the rest 😠

Bad capacitors?
Because the leadless soldering problem was for Radeon Xxxx/GeForce 7xxx cards.

Asus P4P800 SE/Pentium4 3.2E/2 Gb DDR400B,
Radeon HD3850 Agp (Sapphire), Catalyst 14.4 (XpProSp3).
Voodoo2 12 MB SLI, Win2k drivers 1.02.00 (XpProSp3).

Test the cards on another system. Preferably with another chipset. I test all my AGP cards on a VIA KT333 with 3.3 / 1.5v Universal AGP. It takes anything from a voodoo banshee to a Radeon X1950XT AGP.

Try testing the cards again in a socket A or Socket 478 system. It sounds like the motherboard you're using is picky about what video card you put in it - it's happened to me countless times.

Thankfuly it was false alarm. In the begining of the year I replaced VGA cable with a really soft one. It works with all the cards except previously mentioned chipsets.

All good in the end 😉
