Hello, I bought a Sandisk Extreme Pro 16GB CF flash card to replace the IDE drive for a DOS system. I bought this card as it was UDMA7.
I didn't really consider there would be any issues since I thought the CF had an ATA interface built in.
Using a IDE/CF adapter I booted from the DOS 6.22 boot disk and the bios sees the CF card.
I went into FDISK and deleted the NON-DOS partition which was already there from the factory and made a new DOS Primary partition. FDISK then rebooted the system.
When I got back to the DOS prompt, I tried a FORMAT C: /S. The format seemed to work, but then I got a failure error: "Unable to write BOOT. Format terminated"
I am not sure what the answer is to get this to work as a DOS 6.22 drive. Any suggestions?
