Hi,

Why my savegames (real saves not savestate) are not recognized when transfering them on my real dos 6.22 machine ?
I've made some saves in indy3 on my 486dx33 under Dos 6.22 and i can play them with Dosbox on my W7 computer but the reverse operation is not possible. The game doesn't see the new savegames. The files are visible under dos 6.22 with correct name and extension. Dunno why the game can't use it. Maybe it's related to filesystem or arch ? (fat, x86 etc..)

It's ok if it's not possible, but i want to know why.
Thanks

What is the full name of the game?

You may:
- Check are there same settings for memory, sound, video, etc.
- Check files' attributes. Set same time for saved files.
- Make saving in same conditions in DOSBox and on real machine. Than compare files to findout are they different and where (size, check MD5 sum, to find the difference a command like: fc /b file1 file2 >dif).
- Create a save in real DOS, then replace the saved file by the one you got in DOSBox.

Maybe something useful there will be.

Oh god, i was checking all the hints you gave me: filesize, date, attrib etc...
I didn't notice until now... Indiana Jone & The Last Crusade (Adventure Game) make 2 files when saving: one file for the save and one for the index. I need to copy the index each time in order to see the new savegames on the real machine.
Sorry for the troubles, i'm going to buy new glasses...
