I would stick with aluminum for a passively-cooled V2 setup. Heat dissipation will be very similar to copper, but aluminum sinks cost and weigh much less.
The V2 cards don't need much extra cooling. Copper heatsinks would be overkill and just put unnecessary stress on an already old card.

You are probably right and thank you for these links. I am going to buy some of these heat sinks.
Isn't copper's higher thermal conductivity measured in relation to it's weight?
I'm not sure, but that isn't all that helpful anyway, because a smaller heatsink will have a lower contact area with the air.
