I've always stayed away from Razer products because they were huge since the Boomslang. so maybe razer?

You may try switching on/off a USB device. There may exist software things that will do this on OS startup. Or if you don't reboot several times per day - hardware ways such as pull off the cable or USB switcher.

Sounds like it could be related to BIOS settings... Go into your BIOS and try altering any values which have to do with the mouse or with USB support, see if that gets you anywhere, though remember what they were prior in case altering them causes other issues. If you're not used to adjusting BIOS settings I highly recommend you avoid touching any other settings while in there. Adjusting mouse or USB settings should not have an adverse affect on other system functions when using a modern OS, nor should you have a failure you can't solve by going back in and reverting the changes you make, but some BIOS settings can really screw your system up and cause permanent damage if you're not careful.

Check and see if there's any updated drivers for your mouse as well, or you could also try filing a support ticket with Steelseries and see what they have to say about the situation. Given the nature of their company I can't imagine them going too long without a viable Windows 10 solution.

I am with Logitech G502. It works seamlessly in Windows 7 and Windows 10. But I'm not much in the gaming. I'm using it because it lays comfortably in my hand.

I do not know if it is Win7, Win8, Win8.1 and Win10 compatible. (have not owned one for years)
The best one I have ever owned, was an "Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer 3.0".
It's big (I have big hands) and it is really precise. Have not found one in shops, like since forever.

Except that it only happens on Windows 10. It's been working flawless until I updated to Windows 10. The computer has dual boot, and it works every time on Debian 8 (also tested on another Linux booted from USB).

I don't think it is a BIOS problem, but something related to drivers.

Steelseries has placed that mouse in their "legacy" category of downloads. That's the educated mean to say "we won't care about it and we won't update it", I guess. But you're right, maybe a support ticket may give me a solution.

I think I didn't explained properly, I was looking for gaming mouses because nobody seems to sell big standard mouses but I don't really need a gaming mouse.

About Logitech, I think some of their mouses are expensive (related to their building quality) and I don't like their software... but most of them can work without installing that software, so a good price mouse can be OK. I'd look into it, thanks.

I had the first version of that mouse, year ago. It was very good, but Microsoft mouses are scarce now... I wonder if I could get one of those...

Does NOT rule out a BIOS problem.

Settings in the BIOS which work fine with one OS may not work properly with another.

Every company has their own idea of what "legacy" means. Sometimes it means, "We'll support it as best as we can without having to commit resources to fixing things", or sometimes it may even mean, "We'll support it to our full potential, but not at the expense of supporting our other products", which means VERY slow response/repair time.

When I moved up to Windows 8, I ran into a curious issue as my HP colour laser printer was no longer having drivers produced, but HP still offered a solution which involved coaxing the Windows Vista driver specifically into working with the Windows 8 architecture. Not a perfect solution, but worked well enough for as little printing as I do.
