im trying to identify the motherboard in this box.. i see that it has some chips that are Toshiba and others that are OPTI
its also got an AMI BIOS dated 1986-1992 + an NEC keyboard bios? 8 slots for memory.. also the board has 8 slots.. 6 long isa.. and 2 short.. the short ones being closest to the memory slots + keyboard connection with a coprocessor socket? filling out the space after the short slots
the video card is ISA and says EGA WONDER ver 3.09 (1988)
www.minuszerodegrees.net/manuals/EGA%20 ... 01988).pdf
and seems to have RCA outputs of somekind? + a 9 pin EGA output
i couldnt see a brand name on the io controller
im wondering what i can do to increase its performance.. should i get a different ISA video card?
is windows 3.1 the best this machine could hope for? or should i aim to use this machine purely for DOS?
also there is a sticker of warranty on the cpu that says "May 1993" and the cpu is an AM386DX-40 (AMD)
