I recently recieved this board. No bulging caps or anything visually wrong with it. But during Windows 98 setup, it freezes rather quickly. Does anyone know how to fix this? In Scandisk it reports no issues with my HDD.

If caps arent bulging, that doesnt mean they are still good.. Its a fact that caps will be bad over a long time period..

I would try a high quality A-brand power supply first.. If that doesnt happen, the problem would be the caps.

~ At least it can do black and white~

This PSU never freezed on me on my previous rig, so i'm pretty sure it isn't that. How do I check if the caps are bad?

At what section does it freeze? You don't provide much information I'm afraid. Tech supports worst customer 😊

I jumped to conclusions 😜
Hard Drive got screwed up within the last month apparently. Trying to format it lead to freezing at about 2%. New (bigger) hard drive made it work perfectly.
