I got this archive (scanned in PDF) on a DVD for my own purposes. If someone needs something from BYTE, I am open for suggestions.

Exact period I have is November 1990 - July 1993.

I think Byte is available in full on archive.org.
PC magazine is available in full on google books.
What I'd really like to see is PC World made available...

There's back issues that go back to the mid-90's for sale on Zinio.com.

There's a few torrents around regarding PC World FWIW.

Archive.org is banned in Russia. Because it hosts copies of other sites banned in Russia. I'm living in a country full of idiots :'(

Wow! Can you use a proxy / VPN to access it, or is that an easy way to end up on a special list? 😀

Yes, I can, and no it won't put me on a special list, at least yet. I believe it can get worse, borders closed and Internet cut. Otherwise no one here would believe that we've always been at war with Oceania.

And this is exactly why (or at least one of many) I hate censorship on the internet.
Censoring free speech and access to anything on the net is a bad way to go.
Not even my children are allowed the luxury of parental censoring program's at my place.
They have to learn how to use their heads instead, when on the internet.
No need to foster dumbasses that can not think for them self.

On the other hand. What signal do I send to my children when I openly say that I am against
censoring anything with one hand, and then censoring their access to anything with the other hand?

Don't eat stuff off a 15 year old never cleaned cpu cooler.
Those cakes make you sick....

I am not sure if it's allowed on VOGONS to bring politics up, but I've noticed that you are always bitching about your country. If you don't like your country you should consider moving somewhere else.

/\ I guess the whole country things can be like a spouse: it can get on your nerves every once in a while but you don't necessarily want to leave it.

I've lived in two different countries for a long period of time and I can say for sure that every country has its pluses and minuses, there is no such thing as the "perfect" place.

I LITERALLY used the quote "We have always been at war with Eastasia." in a conversation with someone this week. You, sir, are awesome. Internet high-five! 🤣

I'm giving you full 42 points for both quotes. The book in question above was one of the most strongly effecting my way of thinking.
