I am very unfamiliar with everything about installing DOSBOX. I have recently downloaded its Windows version but what I am interested in is to have a version which I can install on my Unixware SCO 7.1.1 version to run a DOS programme from within UNIX. I have tried several times and almost took bizzarr out of my mind to find a good DOS emulator to run in Unix. Everywhere I found information related to LINUX but I don't know how to relate this to Unix.

Can somebody, please let me know which version/ installation package to download from DOSBOX website and then how to install it on my Unix.

Appreciate kind help.

Thankx

If there is no SCO unix package, you should try to download the source code and compile it.

Note that it may not compile and maybe you'll need to fix it.

May need to fix it, or may need to source up to date components for the build environment.

Try to get SDL1.2 for your Unix flavor. If you don't have, then you may try building SDL1.2 from source. If you successfully have SDL1.2, then you have better chance of getting DOSBox built.

Both up to date and couple of years old should be fine. Building every dependency of Dosbox doesn't take long 😉
