Metropolis - Metropolis (1992)
Vinyl Goddess from Mars (1995)

Anyone know the origin of this sound effect? I'm guessing they both sampled it from somewhere else.

Anyone have other examples?

Now that's intriguing - didn't expect to hear the Health Jug sound from Vinyl Goddess from Mars elsewhere 😊

As to where it came from it's anyone's guess; probably from a synthesizer or sampler - or maybe both. I wonder if Frank Krul (the game's sound effects creator) has any knowledge as to it's true origin.

Ooohh, the pain......

Probably Sound Ideas libraries, such as the 6000 General which all those "OMG!!! THEY STOLE SOUND FROM DOOM'S" come from.
