A long time ago I downloaded some kind of space shooter with gameplay similar to space ship shooters (dunno the correct technical term) that have static levels (no scrolling) and after you finish off all enemies you advance to the next level.
It wasn't real 3D and the game looked like you saw it from the top so to say. You could fly and turn your spaceship, I can't remember though if it was possible to fly to the bottom of the screen by flying 'through' the top of the screen.

I have no screenshots and no idea who made the game and what it's name was and this has made it difficult for me to find it.
I don't even know where I got the game from, but it wouldn't surprise me if it was some kind of flash game.

I played the game maybe between 5 and 10 years ago, it's likely it didn't predate XP.

The graphics and especially the game mechanics set it apart so hopefully someone will recognize it.
It was a spaceshooter but I remember that all the graphics were rendered as if they were mathematical equations and some of it's opponents had areas that bounced my shots.
I can't remember if I could upgrade my spacecraft or if there were pickups in the levels itself, but it was quite addicting.

Anyone have any idea which game it was or perhaps know more about this kind of graphics rendering which may give me more clues so I might find it again?

Whats missing in your collections?
