Logitech serial mice?

Am I wrong here, or is it safe to assume that every PS/2 mouse that Logitech ever made will also support serial?

I'm trying to find info online, but it's very scattered. Microsoft was very kind to write what their mice support on the underside, and eBay is very kind to post underside pictures for most of their mice, but it doesn't seem like Logitech ever did this. I can find a few boxed mice that show serial support, but I don't think it shows the model number, and most of their mice all look the same, so that's not much help.

I thought maybe wheel mice and optical mice would be out, but First Wheel Mouse and Trackman Marble both support serial.

Hmm...maybe I should just be more patient, but there's a lot of dirt cheap, NOS Logitech's out there...

No. It's not safe to assume that.
A lot of them did before about year 2000+/- but then serial support started to fade away.
Those that did usually came with the PS/2 to 9-pin adapter.

I have used the Trackman Marble with the adapter and I don't recall any major problems. (Been a long time though.)
There was also one I used called "TrackMan Stationary Mouse" (PN: T-CC2-9F ) that is 9-pin serial.

I thought about getting a Marble, since this USB Microsoft Trackball Explorer has really grown on me, but I ended up finding a cheap Microsoft Mouse 2.0 instead.

Man, that thing rolls much better than I remember ball mice rolling. I'm sure it'll clog up with dirt before long, but it probably helps that it's not the family computer with dad spilling cigarette ashes all over the mousepad =)
