looks like a Color Code protection thing, was used on ZX Spectrum? Was consulting with IRC people and that's the consensus so far. It's not lenslock that's for sure.
Don't recall a game with tea-leaves... sorry

Yeah it's a red filter. Still no idea which game it's from though.

I have this really old memory of something like that from when I was a kid. I seem to remember a friend of mine had a little sister and she had some sort of board game or toy that used something like that. I dont think it belongs with a video game, but I cant be sure. It was 30 years ago at this point, and my addled brain has abandoned me.
Maybe its from something more modern and I'm thinking of something else. On a closer look, it doesnt look aged or stained. I'd say it was from some sort of toy, board game, or even some sort of goofy book.

Good point, my original assumption that it's a copy protection device from a game may be completely wrong!
