I have a about 3 different Pentium 1 CPU's, all with an integrated heatsink.
Attached is a pic I found on the internet of a CPU with the power cable attached to the integrated heatsink
The problem is that I seem to have left the power cables in some old PC cases that I gave away years ago (and some of the CPU's I got without the power cable) and now I need a solution to power these fans.
What I thought of doing was to take an existing 2 pin plug (like the ones you connect to your motherboard from your PC case) and connect the other end to the 12V side of the molex connector.
Attached is a pic of some wires, after I had removed them from a CD-ROM 4 pin plug. I could probably just insulate two of these at the end (without sacrificing a 2 pin plug) and just connect the other end to the molex connector)?
Will this work, or is there perhaps a better alternative?
