hmm difficult topic title 🤣 I try to explain:
I want to burn my DOS games collections on CD
ofcourse I want them to run with VDMSOUND 2.1.0 (I have winXP)
before I burn I start the games once with rightclick -> vdsound, run wizard and remember settings
VDMSOUND creates a shortcut in the same dir so I can start my game with one click from now on..
BUT when I burn the games on CD, the drive letter changes if I run from CD, so the shortcut does not work anymore
is there a way to exclude the drive letter in the path and let VDMSound find it itself???? It would be very usefull
to explain where I am talking about, heres a screenshot:
(I use dutch winXP so don't mind the unknown words 🤣)
i.e. I want to run dos games with VDMSound directly from cd, I can make the shortcuts before burning..........so if I could make the path variable, it would work!!
I know I can change the drive letter to my cdrom station, but then it would only work on my desktop pc or my laptop but not on both 😉
thanks in advance,
frank
