Hello. When I run Return to Zork, the game crashes during bits that run the game's CD audio tracks. However, the game runs ok on any Windows XP system I use when I turn off VDM Sound's MSCDEX support-- but the game cannot play the CD audio tracks because it cannot check to discover if the CD is present or not.

So, if anyone happens to know a way around this, I think that would be great. Thanks!

I have never heard of this problem before. Your audio drivers might be pooched. Check for updated drivers. Also, this is A VDMSOUND PROBLEM, not a DOS problem. Moving to the VDMSOUND FORUM.

Yes, it’s my fault.

Hi! I am trying to send some flowers to a friend of mine who
lives in a little village called Anastasievskaja,
which i am told is between Krasnodar and Anapa (Russia).
Does anyone know who delivers flowers to such a small village for me?

Oh. Well, if you don't happen to know then I'll have to figure it out myself. Sometimes it never hurts to ask and sometimes it's just a waste of time.

Oh, and sorry for posting in the wrong forum.

Oh, yes. When I sent flowers to Anastasievskaja, I found a rather generous courier who goes by the name of Mr. Lovin. Strangely enough, he lives in the Congo but can also be frequently found near the Nile in Egypt. However, Mr. Lovin told me he would love to make a pilgrimage of romance and peace to Anastasievskaja and would gladly deliver flowers to my lovely village lady during his time there.

Mr. Lovin's Address:

69 Gettin It On Ln
Congo, Africa 77777

Tel. #: (237) 555-6669

If you get his answering service, you'll hear what sounds like some very energetic music in the background, and then you'll hear his voice saying something like Ooh yeah baby before the tone.

I hope this is of help to you! Best of luck.

Bartz, I love your answer too much to delete it. This thread is officially a protected zone. 😉

I have the same problem with RTZ. A msg flashes on screen, `Unable to open (Sound File).' Also, the opening movie won't play.

Have you enabled MSCDEXNT?
