So I recently reinstalled an old Dell D600 laptop I have with Windows 98. It all works just great except for one thing: When I'm running DOSBox it will periodically do this weird thing where it un-captures the mouse and sends DOSBox back to windowed mode. What's happening here? I've never had this happen before, even in other Win98 machines I've had in the past. Maybe it's something in the latest version - I don't expect you guys are actively supporting Win98 anymore. But maybe you can still help me!

Thanks

I would check if there are any background programs active (in the system tray)

Only the wifi config tool is in the systray. And if I run Task Manager three wifi-related services show up, nothing else. I do have KernelEx installed, although I disabled it for DOSBox - could that be having any effect?
Hmm... Microsoft Office is in the startup menu, though I can't see it running anywhere.
