I finally got One Must Fall 2097 to run with good sound under Windows XP Pro by setting VDMSound to 3.00 Sound Blaster Pro and setting the game to Sound Blaster Clone Medium Quality. But when I play in tounament mode and play a guy twice then go to play him a third time the game crashes back to my desktop. Could this be caused by VDMSound or is it a game problem having a conflict with Windows?

I have just tried out this game with DOSBox and it runs horribly slow. With VDMSound I had to turn the speed down in the game to almost the slowest setting to get it to run at the right speed on my 2.4Ghz Pentium. But with DOSBox I can turn the game speed all the way up and the game just drags. So I didn't have the patience to see if it would crash with DOSBox like it does when I run it with VDMSound in Tournament Mode.
Does anybody know how to make DOSBox run a game better or faster? Because out of curiousity I tried it with Rise of the Triad and it was all slow and jerky like my processor or memory wasn't enough. By the way I don't need DOSBox for Ris of the Triad because VDMSound works great, but I was just wondering how you would speed up a game with it.

😜

Ok... so it's not funny... shut up!!!

Heres a hint if you are to lazy to listen to Qbix's hint.
In the dosbox.conf file you will find a heading [cpu]
underit change the following variables
core=dynamic
cycles=20000

that might help.

I read the manual and the online stuff and now I have tried changing the settings in the Config file under [CPU] to....
core=dynamic
cycles=20000

But now my games have choppy sound and are running like they are skipping major frames.

I guess more homework is needed on this!
