I've got Acer S23a, but mine has a Crystal Wavetable (Same, as Orchid Nusound)

I suppose its not very retro, but I FINALLY retired my HP Laserjet 4MP. (not my video): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=adow2T8clMc The major difference between the 4MP and P is the addition of Macintosh printer port. I remember my father buying it NEW in 1993 for like $4500. I used it on probably a weekly basis up until last week, when I attended a government auction and got a replacement. I got it for $5! Someone had a post-it on the machine that said "does not work". Technically they weren't wrong. The problem was a small piece of paper, about the size of a postage stamp, was stuck in the paper sensor. I removed it and it works perfectly. I feel bad for replacing the old 4MP, but I no longer have to wait 5 minutes to print anything!

It's totally cool as long as you keep your HP Laserjet 4MP as a spare in your garage or storage until the end of tme.

Still using a LaserJet 4M Plus. And a Panasonic KX-P 1624, oh, and a 1635 with 15x11 Fanfold, they're ex-military.

Ah, the immortal LaserJet 4 series... I agree with Skyscraper, you should keep that 4MP as a spare. 😀

Oh yes, it's not going anywhere. I just put the old lady out to pasture. Maybe someday I will hook it up to a mac and print something for giggles.

Interesting, 2GB DDR400 Ram sticks. Having a look at Ebay DDR400 is extremely cheap, but the only 2GB sticks are ECC registered and for
server motherboards. I certainly only ever saw 1GB sticks for sale in local shops, so will be interesting to see if they work in a standard
motherboard, unless of course You have a server board.

Quick test at my A8N-Sli Premium - works well w/o bios mods and such,one sad thing - seller had only 2x2gb,so no 8gb now 😒

Also if you interested there is thread about 8gb of ddr1 in 939 8GB of DDR1 in a socket 939 system

Some may take these as a cardinal sin, but i already had about 2 or 3 of these and only kept one and use it merely as test system as it is very useful for that because of both AGP and PCI-E slots , and sata ports.
I never really liked them much for a "oldschool" rig (and even had one as my main rig from 2006 to 2009) as i find them very picky with memory sticks, and even had some issues with a few sata hard drives were some would only detect on sata 1 and not sata 2 port or vice-versa, and the hard drives were perfectly fine on other systems in both modes.

Bought today just coz of case.
