I Tried to install Battlecruiser 3000AD v2.09 freeware from download page

the installer BC3K209FREE.EXE is not compatible with windows 7
I tryed to run the game on dosbox from http://dl.dropbox.com/u/21632118/BC3000AD.zip
but "cannot access the CDROM" 😒
Battlecruiser 2.0 it's a DOS game with Windows-only installer.
By the way the installer not starts on my WinXpSp3 PC too ("OS isn't adequate") and there is only 4 MB unpacked from the 142 MB archive...
Asus P4P800 SE/Pentium4 3.2E/2 Gb DDR400B,
Radeon HD3850 Agp (Sapphire), Catalyst 14.4 (XpProSp3).
Voodoo2 12 MB SLI, Win2k drivers 1.02.00 (XpProSp3).
in dosbox the intro runs but there is this CDROM check and the fix to leave the CD check is impossible to find.

Found it in the second zipfile, change the cdrom line in the bc3000ad.ini to cdrom=c

I think that this version is better than the version on Steam, the steam version havent the bridge screen for example 🙁

I think that thebad reviews can be right sametime but I think that idea is great and we have to give an other chance to developer. I think that Derek must abandon the FPS and space fighting. The goal of game ( my personal opinion ) must be a complete battleship simulator for hardcore gamers.
I wish steam version turn back to old fashioned looking of 2.09 ( I love the old sun light effect ! ) and slow but deep battles against other battleships. A sort of pacific war of space can be a dream 🤣
Agree , but he must do whatever he chooses and he must listen to users and most the non hater ones wich is the 90% IMHO.
Isn't that moddable? The sourcecode should be released or a sdk if there's none released.
