Saw two 7800 GTX on eBay locally for AUD 20, bought them straight away.

I have already posted the seller images of the Turtle Beach Tropez Plus but I might aswell post some better images.

Except for some floppy label discolouration which is normal everything looks great!

Very interesting board, only Cyrix Media GX I have every touched/got is a Compaq presario 2232, at least your board has a load of slots, mine has a single 8-bit ISA!!! Be interested to see how you find it.

Thanks! The card will be used in a fast DOS system for games such as Daggefall and the like. 😀

My "Daggerfall system" is an AMD 5x86 @ 160 but as it's a pure DOS system the hardware has changed back and forth alot. At the moment I'm using my AudioWave Platinum 16 with Dream synth daughterboard for General MIDI and I was planning to replace it with a Sound Blaster AWE32 + my Roland SCC-1a. Now I think I will try the Tropez Plus in the faster DOS system and use the Roland SCC-1a in a 386DX-40 / 486SX-25 class system. I need to build a mini DIN to DIN cable so I can use the SCC-1a to connect my MT-32 for some older games though.

Same here... Same here... Most likely going to spending more and more time on hardware, once my "basic" collection is finished.

Yes. Hardware for hardware itself 😀 Games seem to just be an excuse. It's like collecting LEGO, but generally, people around me find it strange (I don't care too much).

This went down the list of my dumb hardware fetishes and ticked them ALL off. Miniature CRTs: check; 19" rack-mountable: check; repurposed ex-industrial gear: check; was high-tech in the '80s: check; formerly cost tons & now worth peanuts: check. Naturally I *had* to grab it.

I have some specific uses in mind for it 😉 but even without any ideas I would've bought it anyway.

I've not bought these cards, but for me it was little curious, the last hour on ebay: the V4 (101€ ) was even more expensive than the V5 (80€) 😵 ...

About two years ago, when I was broke, one seller from Austria had a combo of Super 7 board with Voodoo 4 4500 on auction. The winning bid was around 30€ + shipping (if memory serves me right).

Some guy in the UK is selling a bunch of V5s one after the other on ebay at the moment. Both the previous ones went for £50 - am wondering how many he has left and how low the price will go after the people with money all have one.
