I played this back in '98. It was a fun game, perhaps a little bit ahead of its time. Was not a huge fan of the strategy elements, but the shooting was fun. Being able to get out, walk around, and switch tanks was a good time.

This is a remaster, just some slightly cleaned up textures and models, and optimized to run on modern hardware.

Did they get Ken Miller to sign on with this or something? I still play with that 1.5 unofficial patch.

Cool! I really loved this game - I played the demo from a magazine cover disk then went out and bought it.
I thought this was much better than its sequel.
Shame it never really got as much attention as it deserved.

If you are squeamish, don't prod the beach rubble.
