Good day,
I use DOSBox 0.74 on x86_64 Linux with AMD GPU.
I would like to purchase a joystick or gamepad.

I´d like to know, if the gamepad or joystick is setup within the operating system (in my case Linux), will it work automatically within DOSBox?
Can DOSBox handle USB gamepads / joysticks?

Unfortunately those old joysticks back from the 90ies like the Amiga Competition do not exist any more, at least not for the USB. Those pretty simple joysticks seem to be replaces with these flight stick looking things with a bazillion of keys...

Dosbox is a modern program, it actually works best with USB Joysticks *if* the host OS has them working. So, it should work if it works for other games on Linux.
