Hello everyone.

I just joined here in hopes of seeing if someone might be able to help me out with my DOSBox problem I'm having on the game Warcraft 1 which I have.

Now I installed the game perfectly, and the game runs without problem, however there is two minor things which I can't seem to find a fix for.

1) When I run my game while my DOSBox window of the game is in fullscreen the game draw is not, meaning the game screen is like smaller resolution than full resolution on my screen (my resolution is 2560x1440 by the way). Any suggestions for this problem ?

2) The second problem which I have is minor and the problem is that I can't hear the voiceover in the campaign screen of the floating text , like the orc and human voice sound is heard here:

and

but for me I can't hear them, however any other sound effects are fine.

Any suggestions for my problems ?

Thanks in forward.

1) Is the game screen centered, filling the screen top to bottom, but with black bars on the left/right sides? If so, that's normal, since Warcraft is 4:3 and your screen is 16:9. Or do you mean that it fills a smaller area of the screen with black bars all around it?

2) The voiceover, as far as I remember, is only available in the CD version. If yours is the floppy version (or a partial CD-rip), you will not have the voiceover.

1) The game is centered like in a box and the black bars are on the top and bottom and left and right.

2) Thats a shame, then what else is mission from the CD version of the game ?

Set aspect to true in the dosbox config file and change the output to opengl (openglnb for no filter) or overlay.

Well thank you for that advice , but now the problem is the screen stretches to top with opengl and leaves a little black bar at the bottom, while with overlay the screen stretches to bottom while there is a little black bar at the top.

Anyway I don't think that I will be able to stretch this game across the whole screen since like dr_st said the game is 4:3, so I hope to atleast stretch it to both top and bottom.

Nevermind I fixed it by setting the resolution in config file to my own, the game looks really nice.
