Hello,

I didn't plan to get any 386 system, but today I bought some very neat AT case that came with quite interesting 386 stuff inside, so I askedy myself - why not. I will probably migrate the board to my generic 286 case that currently houses 5x86 system.

Here's the case:

It's in a very decent shape, however I'll need to paint the metal cover, as it has some nasty scratches, nothing serious though.

The motherboard inside aslo seems quite interesting - it's Asus 386/33-64K with 386DX40 CPU. It came with no battery soldered (it was never there), which is nice.

Do you think this board is a good base for some hi-end 386 system?

Sorry I can't offer any advice regarding you question but man that case is sooo cool and looks to be in great condition.

Thank you!

I think getting a good looking AT case is quite difficult these days, so I'm happy I found it. Paid around 25 USD for this computer.

Just hope this mhz window is a genuine feature and not some 'tuning' thing.

check the crystal. (the silver rectangle, far right middle of the mobo) if it says 66mhz, then it is a 33mhz board. I would say it is a very nice board. even more so if you find the memory expansion board. Not that you need more memory, but just for the sake of completion.

That's awesome particularly for how clean it is. I don't think I've ever seen one like it.
