Sorry for yet another topic on this game but after following all the advice i could find im still haveing problems.
im not sure if this is a mouse issue or if the game is simply locking up.
The problem is that it loads the main screen up, the graphics are clear and the colours are normal. and when i attempt to click one of the buttons the mouse does not move.
im running it in a VDMS box on windows XP. i have the no CD patch (Fake CD), the mousectl program, dos box 0.63 and VDMS 2.1.0
i Installed the full version of X-com Apocalypse.
I have a USB optical mouse(packard bell) and a PS2 rollerball mouse (logitech)
im having a similiar problem with the setup file, but the mouse starts in the top corner. there is no movement at all in either case.

Neither of these programs even load in dos box 0.63 for me.
Comp specs:
2.49 Ghz Celeron
512+256 MB ram (shared)
Sapphire Readon 9550
SiS 651 Graphics Accelerator
SigmaTel Audio Sound card
