I'm probably missing something painfully obvious but I just can't figure out how to do this. Running dosdrv in DOSBox closes DOSBox, and I can't run VDMSound with shell integration since DOSBox is not a DOS program.

A little help would be much appreciated.

DOSBox and VDMSound are not meant to be used in combination.

What are you trying to do??

Haha, oh geez. I could've sworn I read some posts mentioning running the two together.

Well anyways, I might as well put another question out there which is the reason I was seeking to use VDMsound with DOSBox.

Basically, the sound isn't working well in Space Quest 4. If I set it to use SoundBlaster I get crackling, and with Disney Sound Source the it seems like waves are pitched lower than they should be. So any ideas how to fix this?

Check your CPU cycles; sounds like they're too high and not providing enough power for the sound subsystem.

Yes, it’s my fault.
