Hello, and thank you for reading this.
I have been playing mods for Star Wars: Dark Forces for years now, using the Steam retail version. At first, I would launch the mods manually by mounting the C-drive and manually typing in whichever mod I wanted to play. Eventually I discovered the joys of using the dosbox config file. all I needed to do was change one line, and it would automatically launch whichever mod I typed in. For a while now I have thought that the only way to play these mods was to mess with the config file every time, but I was introduced to a method of making a .bat file to open games, and I was wondering if it would be possible to make a .bat file so DosBox could launch each individual mod seperately, that would be so much easier than overwriting. Is there a way to achieve this other than having 80 different instalations of DosBox, or of Dark Forces? 😮

WHY ARE YOU WRITING YOUR THREAD TITLE IN ALL CAPS :-?

You can create different copies of your config file and then launch them from different DOSBox shortcuts. Just add the "-conf" switch after DOSBox.exe, as in

DOSBox.exe -conf "somemod.conf"

You may also want to look into DarkXL if you haven't already.

Ah yes, DarkXl. 😁 After making shortcuts for all Dark Forces mods, I was going test which ones work on DarkXl, from what I remember, only like 1/3rd of the mod levels will run, mostly the ones with little to no scripts 😀 Thank you again!
