Hi,
I've found today this PNY Geforce 6200 256MB DDR2 AGP low profile. It has the usual AGP 4x connector but the chip should support the AGP 8x? Can I use it with a AGP 1/2/4x mobo without breaking anything?
And does it support Win9x/ME?
Thank
Bye

AGP is backward/forward compatible to a certain extent, so you can make AGP slots and cards that support multiple speeds. The general rule is: if the card physically fits, it will work. As far as I know, all 8x cards will work in 4x boards.
See here for different types of slots and cards, note the 'keying: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Accelerated_Gra … _Pro_Keying.svg

Yes, you can still download the drivers for GeForce 6 series from the NVidia site: http://download.nvidia.com/Windows/81.98/81.9 … n9x_english.exe

Be warned, the 6200 AGP exists in different Variants, some are cut down to a level where its only suitable for office..
the XFX 6200A-LE is so limited that even a FX5200 64bit is faster... for example
Early 6200 with first Core Version are be able to Unlock to 6600GT Speeds.

Yeah, my fear was that it could have an AGP 4x connector but maybe supporting only 1,5v cards. But thinking well the KT133 mobo should be ok with 3,3 and 1,5v too.
