Run this mod, cap the screen with VGA capture on the Voodoo (any voodoo), don't resize, post png. (Q3 of at least 1.27 required)

DON'T:
- be "smart" and use an emulator or glide wrapper
- use the built-in screenshot command
- use hypersnap or external screenshot tools
- save a JPEG
- try to clean up the picture by hand
- use MesaFX
- use 3dfx MiniGL (official full 3dfxvgl.dll / 3dfxogl.dll ICD ONLY!)

Ok I'll give it a shot!

EDIT:

What Voodoo? And what resolution? Resolution is important because the capture card needs to be calibrated for each resolution to get best results.

Here you go!

This is on a V3 3500 Compaq version. I took 3 screenshots, why not.

Thanks, diffing on that allowed me to see the dac at work. You can see the filter eat away the dither pattern completely

Interesting parts:
- the left edge doesn't bleed as much on the red and blue channels
- the faint purple lines seem invisible
- green is very much biased

And what does this mean in simple terms? 😊

Is this good or bad?

Are you sure that's the result of the 3dfx DAC and does not come from the capture card's ADC?

Certain. On high gamma situations on a real CRT you can notice some blurry streaks towards the right if you look hard enough, and it also tells me i need to have more precision to use in my shader and have less hard caps and something exponential
