I could swear I had found them previously, but now I can't find them. And no, Radeon 9700 drivers just make the OS crash. (Or am I just out of luck because the FireGL series is "workstation" and they didn't bother making 9x drivers for them?)

After playing with my Voodoo 5, I decided to throw this beast (AGP Pro, dual-slot cooler, dual DVI,) monster in my 98 rig, but can't find proper drivers!

I have a Diamond FireGL2 card in one of my socket A systems, that only has Win2K drivers that I could find.

If Catalist drivers will work, try Guru3d, there are the old original and Omega Drivers

Even if link sais -xp-32 there are also W9x drivers in there.

Apparently there are no Omega drivers for 98, don't know if they exist.

Regular Catalyst supporting R300 GPU should be working. Maybe not as FireGL but if you install driver manually via device manager as Radeon 9700 Pro, then it should be fine.

I'm not sure what version this was... most likely the most recent one (supporting win98).

I tried installing Catalyst for Radeon 9700, and the system crashes on video driver load. Had to boot in safe mode and remove the drivers to get it to boot again.

Strange, both FireGL X1-128 and X1-256 worked just fine here. Perhaps some kind of chipset/MB incompatibility?
