Hello hello 😀
Does any one know is PLG100-XG compatible with Yamaha SW1000XG sound card, and are there any benefits to having an PLG100-XG mounted onto it?
I am asking this because Ive lost my chance to obtain an PLG150-DX for a reasonable price but an PLG100-XG popped up a few days ago.

it shall work but i don't recommend that. the main purpose of the plg100-xg is to add xg-compatibility to those newer professional synthesizers who had already abandoned xg.
if you install it on the sw1000xg, you can get 32 additional voices but in lower quality: the plg100-xg has 8mb sample rom compared to sw1000xg's 20mb.

Interesting, so they cant share each others samples? I thought SW1000XG could send samples into PLG100-XG and receive an double set of playable voices.
